Bogart Cattle Company is the result of three generations involved in the beef industry. We have built our herd to the point that we are extremely proud of the select females that we own.

We need our cows to excel in both the Purebred and Commercial breeding cattle sectors. Docility, maternal traits, calving ease and phenotypic excellence are the main priorities in our cattle selection.

In the 1980's, true Red and White Simmentals walked our pastures. During the 'sky scraper' era of cattle, these were the high performing option that left no argument over maternal abilities. In 1999, my grandfather purchased our first Blonde d' Aquitaine herd bull. From that point, we developed from a commercial cow herd into a registered breeder. We have shown and sold our Blonde cattle on the National stage. Our most honourable achievements to date, would be Reserve National Champion Bull in 2015 and 2018 with a home-bred bull calves.

In 2016, we felt the need to diversify our operation to incorporate broadening our bull and female sales to more mainstream commercial breeders. In our area, this means we needed to 'whiten' the herd and introduce Charolais.

Today, Charolais breeding females make up the bulk of our herd with about 25% of the herd composed of commercial females out of the 'Patch' family combined with our Blondes. As our herd grows, we would like to see the commercials raising quality purebred ET Charolais calves.
